This sermon completes the series on The Good News and talks about how knowing the Good News reformats the way one thinks about life, priorities, and ministry on the earth to our neighbors.  The text comes from Matthew 4:12-20.

Third in a series about the Good News, this sermon takes a longer look at what the Bible says about God's work to redeem and reunify the Creation.   The text comes from Philippians 3:12-21 which concludes, "He will take our weak mortal bodies and change them into glorious bodies....using the same power with which he will bring everything under his control."

This sermon comes from Romans 8:38-39 which, in Good News fashion, speaks about the love of God which is more powerful than the forces of Hell or any other evil force.  Compare this to those views of God and his love which are inaequate, such as the vengeful God or the meek and mild God, and therefore not good news to those to whom we speak of God.  The sermon challenges us to think of God as the one who sent his son, defeated sin and death, and is now finishing his work of redemption.

This sermon takes its text from 1 Corinthians 2:7-9 and 15:3-8.  The key idea of the sermon is that sometimes what we call the Good News is not.  The sermon opens a series which examines what the Good News is and how we present it to our friends.

On the eve of Labor Day, this sermon is an exploration of work and the place it is given in the Christian's life.  The text comes from 1 Thessalonians 4:9-12.
