Sunday's sermon came from Joshua 24 where Joshua challenged the people of Israel to make a decision about who they were going to serve, the god's of their forefathers or the God of Israel.  It is a stirring call to faithfulness by Joshua.

This week's podcast combines scripture reading, sermon and table talk into one podcast due to the theme and rearrangement of our normal, usual order of worship.  The sermon comes from John 6:51-58 and Jesus' statement that if we want to live eternally we must be willing to "eat his flesh and drink his blood."

In this sermon from Ephesians 4:25-5:2 we explore the community nature of the Church.  In Ephesians Paul uses the plural pronoun to talk about the cultivation and application of virtues as well as the scope of Christ's works.  In other words it was to humanity and not just to select individuals.

Elena challenged us to look at Christ and the simplicity he gives rather than the turmoil all around us.

This sermon comes from 2 Corinthians 8:6-15 and takes its title from Paul's instruction to the Corinthian church to give attention to the grace of generosity.  The sermon challenges the too common belief that we live in scarcity rather than abundance.  This belief turns us into hoarders and stingy people.

This is the first of two sermons on Paul's use of grace in 2 Corinthians.  This sermon looks at how we might wrongly accept God's grace toward us individually while not allowing it to change us so that we extend grace to others as well.

THis sermon comes from Lamentaitons 3:22-27 and is taken from Jeremiah's wonderful statement that "the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases."  This was said in the midst of the great suffering of Israel because of Babylon's military incursion and defeat of Israel.  The sermon talks how Lamentations functions as a great comfort and reminder poem of how to respond to suffering.
