This sermon is John's account of the first recorded miracle of Christ, the changing of water into wine.  This event introduces readers to the idea of God's mind-blowing generosity and gives us a model of how to live in our world as disciples of Jesus.

The second act of the Holy Spirit in Jesus' life was to drive him into the wilderness.  The sermon comes from Luke 4:1-13 and takes a look at how Jesus grappled with loneliness and temptation presented to him by Satan.  The sermon also asks if we sometimes attempt to find our own solutions for Satan's attacks.

This Sunday's sermon is delivered on the day of Epiphany and explores a little of what Epiphany is, and it also included presentations by four LifeSpringers summarizing their experiences with the 2018 Advent Calendar.  

The last sermon of the year comes from Luke 2:22-35 and is the account of Jesus' presentation in the temple.  The principle idea of the sermon is the importance of the daily habits that give our lives depth and wisdom.  The sermon especially looks at the importance of the instilling of good practices in the lives of our children.

This is the final sermon in the Advent series and comes from Luke 1:46-55.  It focuses on the mixed and confused message that Americans hear during this season from advertisers, stores, politicians, and others about what Christmas means.  Mary's Magnificat orients us in a powerful way to what God is doing.
