This sermon compares the chaos of Babel (Genesis 11:1-9) and the unification of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-13). Babel resulted in the inability of humanity to work together. Pentecost brought the Spirit actively into the life of the church and resulted in the proliferation of the abundant good news.

The Greek word Koinonia is the word Luke uses to describe the community and experience that was formed out of the Resurrection of Jesus and the coming of the Holy Spirit. The sermon describes what it means to be a community defined by this fellowship word.
