Rejoice Always

This sermon comes from Philippians 4:4-7 in which Paul tells the Philippian church to "rejoice always."  Paul believed that joy can exist despite the external circumstances of our lives as evidenced by the fact that he was calling the Philippians to joy despite the fact that he was in prison.  With war in Syria, the rise of Isis, global warming, and a host of other ills, we can still rejoice because of the God we serve.

This sermon takes its text from Jeremiah 33 as God tells Jeremiah to purchase land in a city about to be overrun and destroyed by invading armies.  The hope and expectation of Jeremiah serve as a perfect backdrop to talk about Advent.
